A Hearing Loss
Success Story
Hearing loss as a communication disorder has a tremendous impact on our lives. It goes much deeper than simply the inability to hear – it affects our innermost being, how we perceive ourselves and who we are literally as individuals. Because communication is critical to relationships, hearing loss greatly impacts our relationships with family, friends, and co-workers. Hearing instruments are not enough to combat this “hidden” impact.  Rehabilitation is necessary to help people with hearing loss live successfully with this difficult life challenge.
To enhance the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss and their families through educational and support services.

“I think the workshop is very beneficial . . .
I just wish I had it when I was 19. I think my life would have gone a lot differently.
I would have been saved a lot of
embarrassment, a lot of depression, a lot of self doubt.”
