Become a Facilitator

THE KOOSER PROGRAM is excited to announce the opportunity to become a certified facilitator for this valuable aural rehabilitation program. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of those with hearing loss – this opportunity is for you! Individuals with hearing loss represent one of the largest disability groups in the United States and worldwide.  Yet, despite this statistic, very few programs are in existence to help people make positive adjustments to this challenging life circumstance.  Make a difference in the lives of others by becoming a certified facilitator for THE KOOSER PROGRAM.

Six days of training (48 hours) is involved in the process, with the first three days being completed consecutively. This will be followed by:

  1. observation of an individual from THE KOOSER PROGRAM staff teaching the first workshop in your geographic location,
  2. you teaching your first workshop in your geographic location,
  3. and finally the last one day of training.

As a certified facilitator for THE KOOSER PROGRAM you will be responsible for all duties and fees related to organizing and conducting the workshop, including marketing and promoting the program in your geographic location. There are four levels of certification for facilitator to attain.

  1. The BRONZE Level – facilitator has completed the initial three-day training and has scheduled the first workshop.
  2. The SILVER Level – facilitator has attended the first workshop led by THE KOOSER PROGRAM staff and has presented a portion of that workshop. Trainee has led three additional workshops independently. Facilitator has completed the final additional one-day training session. These requirements are to be completed one year from the initial three-day training.
  3. The GOLD Level – facilitator has successfully led a total of ten workshops independently and has been evaluated by THE KOOSER PROGRAM staff.
  4. The PLATINUM Level - facilitator has successfully led a total of 25 workshops independently, has been evaluated by THE KOOSER PROGRAM staff and is qualified to participate in peer reviews of other facilitators for THE KOOSER PROGRAM.
